Pouchon
POUCHON is a Port au Prince-based guitarist and singer who plays a unique blend of Haitian kompa and Latin-infused Caribbean folk music. He's a true master of the fretboard and sings in Haitian Creole, French, and Spanish. Now in his 40s, Pouchon has been playing guitar since he was a teenager, and his repertoire includes a lifetime's worth of songs. He's lent his considerable talents to several renowned Haitian bands, but has never recorded his own songs. Pouchon's debut album on Rubble Records is scheduled for release in the spring of 2011 -- stay tuned! You can listen to several of his songs below on this page or on the Rubble Records Soundcloud page.
