MEVA School - Port au Prince, Haiti
Rubble Records is currently working with the MEVA School, is located in Port au Prince, Haiti. MEVA stands for "La Maison des Enfants du Village de l'Avenir", or "the House of the Children in the Village of Hope." The school is run by the amazing Natacha Marseilles, who also operates an orphanage. The MEVA School was severely damaged during the January 12, 2010 earthquake but is currently being rebuilt. It's located in the hills of Port au Prince and is a peaceful oasis amidst hectic city life.
Soon, RR will personally deliver several donated musical instruments to the MEVA School. Over the next year, we plan to assist in the hiring of new music teachers through our music sales.
